Artist Statement:
“The road we have long been traveling is deceptively easy, a smooth superhighway on which we progress with great speed, but at its end lies disaster. The road less traveled by offers our only chance to reach a destination that assures the preservation of the earth.”
― Rachel Carson, Silent Spring, 1962
Over 50 years later, climate change has become the leading challenge of our time, as we struggle to stay on the road less traveled by. Attuned to nature as a child and influenced by the environmental movement of the 70's, I have made it a goal to call attention to climate change. I use the process-driven medium of cold wax and oil, broad strokes and multiple layers to create non-representational landscapes of unusual colors and textures. Perhaps these are the places yet unknown.
